To pass PHYS 101, the student must (1) obtain a passing grade for the final exam/midterm combination and (2) pass the laboratory component of the course.

It will include all topics covered during the course.

The final exam is in December and is common to sections 101, 102 and 103.

Student ID cards must be shown upon request.

Students must take the midterm in their registered section.

One or two in-class midterm(s) will be given.

Students generally work in groups of two.

A missed lab has to be made up within the next week.

Please check WebCT to see your TA section and whether you have a lab or a tutorial the first week.

Labs are mandatory, unless a student has been granted an exemption.

Labs will begin on Monday, September 8, 2008.

Tutorials begin the week of September 08, 2008.

Please check WebCT for your tutorial section.

You will be assigned a tutorial section.

We will also post midterm and final exam preparation assignments to help you prepare for the exams. Student Booklet explains how this service works in more detail.

To register you have to purchase an access code and use P10108W as a course ID. The assignments will be posted in advance. Notice that every set will have problems which will be automatically marked and a few problems which will not be counted toward your mark (practice problems).
